Introduction to Social Psychology, CU Boulder (Fall 2023)

• Designed and taught own full course (40 students total).

• Led discussions, created assessments and exams, and graded all assignments and exams.

• Emphasized active learning, community engagement, and open science practice.

• Topics such as the self (self-concept, motives, and regulation), perceiving and judging other people (fundamental attribution error, schemas, priming, heuristics), emotion (components and expression), attitudes and persuasion (cognitive dissonance, attitude change), social influence (norms, conformity, etc.), relationships and attraction, stereotyping and prejudice, group psychology (social facilitation, group decision-making), aggression, altruism, and cooperation.

Psychological Science I: Statistics, CU Boulder (Fall 2021, Spring 2022, Spring 2024)

• Taught two two-hour lab sections each week (40–50 students total each semester).

• Supported students during lectures, led applied statistical activities, coordinated accommodations, and graded assignments and exams.

• Topics included hypothesis testing, central tendency, normal distributions, z-scoring, distribution of sample means, variance, one/two-sample and repeated samples t-tests, correlation, regression, one/two-way ANOVA, and chi-squared testing.

Psychological Science II: Research Methods, CU Boulder (Fall 2019)

• Taught two two-hour lab sections each week (50 students total).

• Co-graded 3 exams, weekly assignments, and final papers.

• Guided students through literature reviews, CITI training, Qualtrics survey creation, R-based data analysis, and APA-style writing.

Advanced Judgment and Decision-Making Seminar, CU Boulder (Fall 2020)

• Taught two two-hour lab sections each week (80 students total).

• Co-graded three exams and the final, weekly assignments, and my lab sections' final papers and presentations. 

• Topics covered included Bayes' theorem and conditional probability,  individual differences in cognitive reflection, representative heuristic and conjunction fallacy, availability heuristic and Support Theory,  hindsight bias, anchoring and adjustment heuristic, nudging, Prospect Theory, delay discounting, affect heuristic along with the application of topics in political polarization and human cooperation.

Advanced Research Methods in Social Psychology, CU Boulder (Spring 2020)

• Taught two two-hour lab sections each week (80 students total).

• Co-graded three exams, my lab sections' weekly assignments, and two APA papers. 

• Topics covered included how to be a critical research consumer, CITI training, introduction to R and RStudio, literature reviews, preparing a survey on Qualtrics, collecting data, analyzing data in R, writing an APA paper, and practicing oral presentations.

Responsibilities: Supported a cohort of 8 ACE mentors through 2 semesters. Assisted in hiring and recruitment of 30 mentors and facilitated bi-weekly training meetings. Prepared and co-presented “Cultural inclusion: How to communicate effectively” to ACE mentor training and a Learning Community Seminar.

Academic Mentor: Introduction to Computer Science, BHCC (2015–2016)

Responsibilities: Assisted 3 semesters of classes (~25 students each) with homework and in-class activities. Connecting students to financial aid resources, and tutoring assistance.
